SAP Calculation Checklist

All of the information listed below is needed in order to carry out the SAP calculations. If any of it is not provided then time will obviously be wasted in chasing it up, which may cause an increase in costs. Please us this list to ensure that all of the necessary data is provided. If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact us for clarification.

  1. A site plan, showing the orientation of the building and the locations of any nearby buildings
  2. A plan of each floor, ideally annotated with dimensions, or printed so that dimensions can be scaled (not less than 1:100, preferably 1:50)

  4. Elevations, again dimensioned or scalable, showing all windows, doors, chimneys and flues.
  5. Constructional details or U-values of all roofs, walls & floors, and specifications for all windows and doors. For windows SAP requires that the manufacturer's specified U-value should be used wherever possible

    1. Fuel and model number of boiler, if known, or boiler type, e.g. wall-mounted, fan assisted, combi, etc.
    2. Controls to be used, e.g. programmer, room stat, cylinder stat
    3. Hot water tank size, location and insulation type / thickness.
Guidance on heating systems and controls can be found in the Domestic Heating Compliance Guide.
