• The government's Green Deal is thought by many commentators to be behind schedule for its October 2012 launch. Energy companies are reported to be late in developing the charging mechanism on which it depends, and as yet there is no firm specification for the training of Green Deal Advisors.
• Here we go again - Just when we’ve all got used to the additional demands imposed by SAP 2009, consultation is now well under way regarding the content of SAP 2012 for implementation in 2013.
• From the 1st of April 2012 no dwellings will be able to claim the Feed In Tariff for solar PV unless they have an EPC with at least a Band D rating. The EPC can be provided by any Domestic Energy Assessor, but they must have passed an up-skilling exam in order to issue EPCs after the 1st of April.
• The 43.3p Feed in Tariff rate is no longer available for new solar PV installations, 21p is now the going rate.
